Age Reversing Pilates Equipment Classes for Bone Building & Strength
Schedule: Monday at 10am/ Wednesday at 10am/ Friday at 10am
Age Reversing Pilates for Bone Building & Strength- This 50 min. group equipment class that moves at a moderate pace. It is great for active, older adults who are on a journey to get strong, or stay strong and reverse the aging process naturally. Classes are for anyone with osteopenia, osteoporosis, stenosis or arthritis. First part of class is performed on the equipment and mats (bare feet only); second half of class requires sneakers.
Focus: You will incorporate the Pilates principal of alignment to perform bone-building, bone-safe, Pilates exercises with the Pilates equipment, and then you will perform resistance training exercises for building strength, bones and muscles. The focus of this class is good alignment, posture, strength, core control, balance, thoracic extension, halting bone loss, building lean muscle mass and body fat reduction.
Benefits: Improve bone density, muscular strength, cardiovascular health, decrease body fat, increase lean body mass, rehabilitate musculoskeletal injuries and become confident to exercise without fear of injury.
Prerequisite: Some Pilates equipment training experience is required. Call us to schedule an assessment to determine if this class is a good starting place for you.
