Pilates Equipment Classes for Bone Building & Strength
10am: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
11am: Tuesday, Thursday
For: This 50 min. group equipment class is for those who have osteopenia, osteoporosis or anyone who wants to prevent bone loss. Class is taught at an intermediate level.
Prerequisite: New clients can begin with a private, 30 min. assessment.
Benefits: Improve bone density, muscular strength, cardiovascular health, decrease body fat, increase lean body mass, rehabilitate musculoskeletal injuries, and become confident to exercise without fear of injury.
Focus: Use the Pilates principals of alignment to perform bone-safe, Pilates exercises using the equipment and springs for resistance, functional fitness training using weights standing and on the mat, and learn fun exercises for core control and balance on the Core Align. The focus of this class is good alignment, posture, strength, core control, balance, thoracic extension and resistance training. Get strong, build confidence, prevent risk of fractures and exercise in a bone-safe group class with a professional Pilates expert who specializes in teaching Pilates for bone strength and osteoporosis.
Requirement: Classes require at least 3 people

Pilates Mat for Bone Building & Strength
Saturday at 10am (call 727-698-8800 to reserve a class the day before)
This 50 min. intermediate+ level class includes standing and mat exercises followed by standing strength training exercises for bone building. Part of the class is performed with bare feet, and the other part is performed with sneakers. This class is for you if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis or if your goal is to prevent bone loss. Learn bone-safe exercises with a focus on using good alignment, posture, core control, thoracic extension, weight training exercises to target the hips and spinal vertebrae and prevent risk of fractures. If you have difficulty getting up and down to the mat/floor, or if you have mobility issues, please call us to book a free 30 min. assessment first before taking this class.
Intro to Pilates Mat for Bone Building & Strength
Friday at 1pm (call 727-698-8800 to reserve a class the day before)
This 50 min. beginner intro class is for new clients who have osteopenia, osteoporosis, or anyone interested in preventing these. Let Jean introduce you to good alignment and proper technique for your bone building exercises and fracture prevention. Learn what our Bone Building Pilates Mat Classes are like and ask questions. This mat class is also a great starting place if you're interested in joining our Pilates Bone Building & Strength Equipment classes.
