
Jean Deferrari began her fitness career as a group fitness instructor and Personal Trainer. She was a bodybuilder and a Fitness America Pageant competitor for more than six years. While recovering from an SI Joint injury and low back pain, she was led to Pilates. Pilates helped strengthen weak muscles and correct faulty movement patterns that were causing injury and pain. She has been personally training fitness clients since 1998 and teaching Pilates since 2001. She enjoys sharing the benefits of Personal Training and Pilates with her clients, and her experiences. In addition, Jean offers practical nutrition coaching, weight loss coaching to health conscious individuals seeking natural solutions to optimal health.
Jean's teaching philosophy is combining evidence-based functional fitness training and Pilates exercises with corrective exercise strategies, mindful movement and imagery. Jean combines the art of choreography and variations of exercises to help her personal training and Pilates clients feel refreshed, strong, balanced and flexible after every workout.
